Important information

Bringing a car to Ischia
It is possible to bring your car to Ischia, even if you are staying for fewer than three days. The restriction only applies to residents of the Campania region. If you are visiting from outside Campania or from abroad, you are welcome to bring your vehicle. Please keep in mind, however, that the roads on the island are often steep, narrow and winding. Driving can be challenging and is not ideal for large or expensive cars. If you choose to bring your car, make sure to book a ferry that departs from either Calata Porta di Massa or Pozzuoli, as only these ports allow vehicles on board.

Accommodation
In the upcoming months you will receive an email with the address of your accommodation on Ischia. From the port, you will need to arrange your own transport to your accommodation. This can be done by taxi, although we strongly recommend booking in advance. Your accommodation can often help you arrange this. Alternatively, you can rent a scooter or a car upon arrival, depending on what feels most comfortable to you. Please note that during the high season, availability for taxis and rental services can be limited.

Taxis on the island
Taxis are limited on Ischia, especially in summer. You cannot stop a taxi on the street as you might in a city. If you plan to use one, be sure to book in advance. Many hotels and accommodations can help with this.

Renting a scooter on Ischia
Renting a scooter is a popular and flexible way to explore the island! However, the roads are often steep and busy, so we only recommend this if you have experience driving a scooter. Helmets are required and are usually included with the rental. Most scooters can carry two people.

Transport for the wedding events
Transport will be arranged for all guests on the 12th and 13th of September, for the wedding activities. You do not need to organise anything for these activities on these dates.
